Is there something wrong with me?

nothing is wrong with you, your mom just seems to make you very sheltered. its as if she wants to keep you young forever, which is actually common for parents, especially for their oldest children. but you should try convincing her to give you more freedom. scare her by saying your gonna end up living in your parents basement unemployed for the rest of your life. that may give her a sense of reality. prove to her that ur ready to drive by practicing as much as you can and drive your mom places to reassure her that you are comfotable driving. also find a job! if you apply to a bunch of different places you'll be bound to get one!
